Francine Stuppy – Practice Manager

Francine has been a part of our team since. 2004. She earned her A.A.S. degree in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Ulster. She is an active member of NYS CE, CD/HV VPM, HVVMA and AAHA. She loves helping people with their pets. She lives in the hamlet of Palenville with her husband Ken. Her pets include Witty, a beagle; Cheri, a lab mix; and 5 tuxedo cats. When not at work she loves traveling, gardening, reading and shopping for tuxedo cat “stuff”.

Heather Brady – Licensed Veterinary Technician

Heather has been a part of our team for 19 years, and has been active in veterinary medicine for over 35 years. She earned her Associates in Veterinary Science Technology degree from SUNY Delhi, and became licensed in New York State. She has been an active NYS CE participant for many years, and is laser therapy certified. Her background is orthopedic and neurosurgery on small animals, and orthopedic surgery in equine. She also has an interest in exotics and avian medicine. She enjoys being able to practice good medicine and help animals and their owners. Heather’s pets include Turkelton, a Rottweiler mix; and 3 cats: Koala and Ari DLHs, and Kif, a DSH. She has 4 grown children. When not working, she enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, gardening, and travel.


Mindy Benjamin – Licensed Veterinary Technician

Mindy has been a part of our team since 2006. She earned her Associates in Math/Science and Veterinary Science from SUNY Ulster and has been a NYS licensed technician since 2007. She lives in Accord with her fiancé Don and her daughter Elizabeth. Mindy’s pets include Jack, an Oriental Mix, and Gus, a Domestic Short Hair. She enjoys helping to maintain the human/animal bond, educating clients on ways to keep their pets healthy, and meeting new members of people’s furry families. She has special interests in dentistry, surgery and exotics. When not at work she loves spending time with her friends and family.


Alicia Barrett – Senior Receptionist

Alicia has been a member of our team for 3 years. She enjoys meeting all the pets and hearing stories of their home adventures. She has several pets including Fluffacus the rabbit, Little B and Crankshaft the cats, and three chickens. She has 2 sons and a fiancée. When not at work, she loves gardening, doing arts and crafts with the kids, and going to car shows.


Petra Bach – Animal Caretaker/Veterinary Assistant

Petra has been an intricate part of South Peak Veterinary Hospital, PC for 19 years. She loves taking care of animals and making them feel safe and loved when they are away from their “parents.” Petra is a native of Saugerties, and lives with her husband. She has 5 children and 4 grandchildren. She grew up with animals and still has a variety of pets, including Zippy (a Beagle), Benjamin (a Lab), many cats, a bird, a chinchilla, and some bunnies! When not caring for your pets, she enjoys scrapbooking, reading, horseback riding, and gardening.


Jasmine Petersen – Animal Caretaker/Receptionist

Jasmine is an animal caretaker at South Peak Veterinary Hospital. She is enjoying learning new things every day at the practice. She has one pet, a Jack Russell Terrier named Tucker, and she enjoys gardening.


Carly Voerg – Animal Caretaker / Veterinary Assistant

Carly has been a part of our team since May 2016 and is currently enrolled in the SUNY Ulster Vet Tech program. A graduate of Saugerties High School, she was inducted into the National Honor Society while a student there and made the dean’s list for her first and second semester of college. She enjoys working as a kennel assistant because it allows her to help animals in need as well as those that are healthy. When she’s not at work, she cares for her own pets, a Chihuahua named Mimi and a rabbit named Blue. She also spends her free time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, fishing, or horseback riding—which she’s been doing since she was 6.


Alexandria Murphy – Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Alex, one of our newest team members at South Peak Veterinary Hospital, graduated from Saugerties High School with honors and is now enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at SUNY Ulster. She has some furry children of her own: Missy, a Pit Bull/Boxer mix; Domino, a quarter horse; Charlie, a Golden Retriever; and Rafiki, a cat. She is enjoying learning new skills from her coworkers and working closely with our animal patients. In her spare time, Alex enjoys riding her horse, shopping, riding 4-wheelers, and visiting her sister in Key West, FL.


Genna Banks – Licensed Veterinary Technician

Genna, a veterinary assistant in our team, has an A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Ulster and is the recipient of the NYSAVT Scholarship Award. Her favorite part of working at the practice is offering client education, being a voice for our pets, and constantly learning new things. In her personal life, Genna has a beautiful daughter Emma with her husband Everett and she enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, reading, playing board games, and shopping. She also likes to ride her motorcycle on the weekends.


Leigh Anna Walsh – Licensed Veterinary Technician

Leigh Anne, who joined our team in early 2016, graduated with honors when she earned her Associates in Applied Sciences in veterinary technology. She loves having a career where she is able to care for animals, big and small, as well as educate our clients about their pet’s needs. Her own pets include Samson, an orange domestic shorthaired cat, and Kitty-Kitty, a tricolored domestic medium haired cat.
